主要研究内容
饶子和教授主要利用X-ray和Cro-EM等现代生物物理技术手段,研究人类新发、再发传染病病原体的蛋白质机器的结构与功能,以及基于结构的创新药物开发。他的研究重点关注结核分枝杆菌的关键药物靶点,包括细胞壁合成、呼吸链和转录、复制相关的超级分子机器。同时,饶子和教授长期从事SARS病毒、流感病毒、艾滋病病毒、肝炎病毒、疱疹病毒、小RNA病毒和黄病毒等重要病原体在宿主入侵、复制和组装过程中起关键作用的分子机器的研究,并针对性的开发新型抗病毒药物和疫苗。
