Introduction
Scientific illustration encourages art forms in the service of science, and it is a unique field where artists and scientists can collaborate. One form of collaboration is the making of journal cover images that accompany research publications. In this seminar, scientific illustrator Julie Liu will present the cover images she has made for ShanghaiTech professors, and she will introduce ideas for representing research findings in imagery that connects with all audiences.
